Big JoeCaptain's Float No Inflation Needed Pool Lounger, Double Sided Mesh, Quick Draining Fabric

We bought two of these big Joe captains floats for the boat. They are nice for the kids to sit in on the boat but kind of too low for the adults. Great for both adults and kids in the water though! You will probably have to sew seams at some point. I’ve had to with all the big Joe bean bags I’ve ever owned. Just part of it! We actually lost one of these, it flew off the boat while driving on highway. We went back and got it and it had no issues! Pretty incredible! Anyway we love these for lounging in the water, they keep us (average sized adults) mostly out of the water with out legs in which to me, is the perfect combo 👍🏻

This chair easily keeps my heavy bottom above water. I would bet that this float chair would still keep a 400 pound person no more than waist deep in the water. My teenager can climb onto it from in the water, sit on her knees, and even scared me by nearly standing up on it from that kneeling position.That said, for an adult who is not skinny and athletic, it is difficult to get my butt back far enough into the seat to not feel like I'm tipping forward. Maybe getting on it from a deck or the shallows of a beach would be easier, but I've tried a dozen times from the ladder if our above ground pool and it's not possible. However, if you have another float, like a noodle, to use as a foot rest, it keeps you up well enough to float peacefully, for a while. After about 20 minutes or so, just your body weight vs. the natural physics of foam beads, you do eventually have to hop off and start over. It's best to try to move the foam beads so that you can fold the back over the top, flip it back, hop on backwards. If you are comfortable with a straddle approach, that helps keep you from tipping forward as well. It's mostly just trying to be seated far enough back to stay on well, which the design makes slightly difficult.It works well enough. Star deductions for price and design. Honestly, if there were more division between the seat and back, stitching that prevented the foam from moving around so much while on it, it would be more worth the cost and a 5 star product.

Had a previous one and after years of use, and children jumping onto it, it finally popped beyond repair. So we got a new one and very pleased with it. It’s really nice to sit in and enjoy floating around.

This is our second Big Joe. We use it in the beach tent for our special needs son that is unable to sit up.PLUS - the box it is shipped in TURNS INTO A CASTLE!!!! HOW COOL!!!

Love this chair for the pool but any little movement and the bean stuffing shifts, when they shift your head usually goes to a sitting straight up position. I’m constantly having to get out of the pool and try shaking the beans around so that you can somewhat recline.

The first one came in leaking balls, but I could never find a tear. The second one has zero leaks so far. Very comfortable in the pool and on the side deck.

The Box it came in made a Christmas I. JULY fir my 5 year old neighbor. Whoever decided to print that castle box is genius.....oh yeah I like the float too

Got the watermelon print and it’s really cute, if you get the bean’s smooshed around right it’s pretty comfortable.

I booked down and ordered this for my husband who is picky about his pool chairs. He’s over 6 feet so it’s harder to find something appropriate for him. He loves it! (So do I) it’s super Sunday and no need to blow up. I loved it so much, I bought the flat lounger as well. It’s a little pricey compared to buying direct from Big Joe but harder to ship to Canada so I just gave in and spent the money. Hopefully, it lasts.
