Awesome Design & Product, Poor Performance - UPDATED
UPDATE-181222: I owe a huge apology to these folks. Bad timing created a false situation which my original review below was based on. I didn't realize at the time I had received a bad/bum wireless keyboard from a friend that I had used for testing the holder, which was the root and cause of most/all of the issues detailed below. After I started using my own, 95-99% of the issues disappeared entirely, instantly. In other words, the MeshWe Bluefin holder was NOT causing the issues as I had thought!! Since I started using my own wireless keyboard I have had few if any connection issues and I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!! It makes keeping them both together and moving them around a breeze and very handy for numerous reasons. Yes...replacing batteries means having to remove them periodically from the holder; big deal, not an issue for me. And since they sleep on their own I never use their power buttons, and never have in or out of the holder anyway. Both trackpad and keyboard fit and function perfectly with one minor exception...I have also noticed a little bugginess in the keyboard cursor jumping to other places on the page out of the blue mysteriously as another reviewer noticed. Not sure thy are related, its not major and I can live with it. I now LOVE this holder and can recommend it COMPLETELY after discovering the aforementioned issue, and after using it under the best of circumstances now for a few additional weeks. Yes, it is a little pricey but one-off specialty products like this usually are for hopefully obvious reasons (development, manufacturing, advertising, etc, etc on a much smaller scale). I for one am very happy at this point and can't thank the company enough for creating this well made and high functioning solution. BTW, I have had NO ISSUES with the trackpad getting hung up or sticking. Its a Simple, elegant and great little product if you want to bring these two items together conveniently. Many thanks!!PS - I CANNOT BELIEVE the people who thought they were ALSO buying a BRAND NEW keyboard AND trackpad (shown above as a demo, easily $130 extra) when purchasing the MeshWe holder, then giving it a one star rating and horrible review. The idiocy and lack of common sense these days is truly astounding. Ugh.------------------------------I LOVE this product. It is easy to use, well designed (compared to its Clique Henge competitor which is no longer being sold or manufactured), easy to use, solid, holds the keyboard and trackpad tightly, is minimalistic, etc. HOWEVER, unfortunately it does NOT work well. Why? Because it interferes with the bluetooth signals from the keyboard constantly, disconnecting it from the computer often and sometimes not allowing it to reconnect. It also shuts down the keyboard power sometimes irreversibly, which is bizarre.So...I just got this MeshWe Dock. Love its design and function but then noticed once in the dock, the keyboard continuously disconnects/connects from my Mac, but not when its NOT in the holder. The trackpad ALWAYS remained connected so that wasn't an issue. Then after my keyboard would go to sleep, it often couldn't be awakened. So I would need to first remove the trackpad to the right of the keyboard from the dock, then push the power button on the keyboard to turn it back on, often to discover it did absolutely nothing. Very very strange.I then had to remove the keyboard from the MeshWe dock after which it always turned back on using the power button, but then after putting it back into the dock, along with the keypad, the above issues continued, over and over and over. Keep in mind I was using BRAND NEW BATTERIES which were always fully charged. Also note that my Mac (MacBookPro Mid-2015, macOS 1012.6) was constantly telling me the batteries in the keyboard were low and needed to be replaced, even though they weren't - but ONLY did so when the keyboard was docked. And even with ONLY the keyboard in the dock (no trackpad - thinking it might be interfering with the keyboard) the issues persisted as above. However... NOT when it (the keyboard) was NOT in the holder. Truly bizarre. The trackpad connection was NEVER an issue in or out of the dock. Hope that all made sense.I SO want to keep this dock because its otherwise awesome and very convenient for keeping these two together, easy to move around, use on my lap, etc. HOWEVER, after lots of testing and troubleshooting with the same results, I have decided to return it. That said, I am VERY OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS from others BEFORE I return it (not for at least a week) if you've been SUCCESSFUL at making this Bluefin dock work well and continuously with the wireless keyboard. There appears to be no other on-line support for it so now I'm wondering if they stopped making it for this reason..? But with all the good reviews on Amazon, maybe I'm missing something here? Regardless, at this point, the design of the dock itself appears to somehow, and significantly, INTERFERE with the bluetooth signal coming from the keyboard, making it almost unusable or a major frustration at the very least. Very sad to have to return it unless I can find a solution..?? Many thanks!BTW, I DO have intermittent connection issues between my 1st-Gen Apple wireless keyboard and my Mac periodically, I think everyone does (for some reason - argh), but nothing like what was happening once it was docked in the MeshWe Bluefin holder. :-(((

Great Solution to Connecting First-Gen Magic Trackpad and Keyboard
After the new versions of the Magic Accessories came out, I decided to invest in the older versions of the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad to use with my MacBook Air and external display. But after a few days of use with my keyboard and trackpad migrating across my desktop like herds of cattle, I decided to look into a management solution to keep the two together. After researching a few different products, I decided on the MeshWe Bluefin to dock/connect my first gen Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad for a couple of different reasons. Here are a few of the reasons why I bought it, and why I love it:- I really like that it is one whole piece of plastic that holds the entire Keyboard and Trackpad, unlike other products that only hold the back end where the batteries are. It holds my Keyboard and Trackpad snugly and I have no issues with my Trackpad getting stuck in the down-click position like other reviews have mentioned. The plastic feels very sturdy and also has little rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from moving around on your desk. I also like that you have the option to use your Keyboard and Trackpad in your lap or other uneven surface since it provides a base for the trackpad to click down and both devices aren't moving around on you like they would if they were only connected in the back.- Since it is one solid piece of plastic with no dividers or anything, I also like having the option to place my Trackpad on the right or the left. I currently have it on the right, but I also have a Magic Mouse, and when I use that, I like having my trackpad on the left so I can use my mouse on the right.- The on/of system is so simple, but effective. The MeshWe Bluefin comes with a little rubbery sticker that you place on the power button of the device that is sitting inside (i.e. unaccessible from the end as it is next to your other device). To turn your keyboard and trackpad on/off, you only need to push the power button of the device on the end, and both will turn on/off since the rubber sticker on the end of your device acts as a divider between your devices and will press the power button for you when you press in on the outer most device.Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The product is well made, and fits my Magic Trackpad and Keyboard nicely. It is comfortable to use and easy to get my devices out if I want to, but also holds them snugly to where if I turn it over, or accidentally drop it, they will not come out. Great solution to connecting the first gen Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad.
