Good product - no phone needed
My alarm clock of 30 years recently broke. I decided to replace it with a modern take on an alarm clock. I think many of us can identify with the following - we both love and hate our alarm clocks. To me, this means that this sort of product is personal. I am very happy with the Dawn. Here are my pros and deltas.Pros- No phone needed. I purchased a few other products but returned them when I discovered that I couldn't perform all functions without my phone. The Dawn fully works without a phone. I love this. While like many folks I like connected devices and technology, when I go to bed I don't want to be required to use my phone to control my alarm clock. Sometimes I take my phone with me to bed to read but sometimes I don't. When I don't, I don't want to have to get out of bed to go get it in order to do something to the product. For example, to enable an alarm, other products required me to use a phone. This was a non-starter for me.- Bluetooth. I love being able to stream BT from my phone in my bedroom.- Easy to use.- Dimmable display.- Nice look, nice weight.- USB charging port.- Alarm has a crescendo which was a nice touch. It is quiet at first then gets louder. My partner and I like this. My old alarm clock was like a gong - super loud at first which always jolted me.- Finally, a big snooze button right on top so you can whack it. Well done. Some old habits don't go away.- Has battery backup.Deltas- Sound is terrible. Very mid-range with no treble and no bass. However, I didn't buy this for the sound so this didn't bother me. I do like streaming BT from my phone but when I want good sound, I go elsewhere in my house to listen to what I want to.- FM radio reception is terrible. This bothered me a little bit. I like to turn on the radio sometimes when in my bedroom. Even with the included antennae fully extended, the reception is bad. Other products I tested had much better reception.- Colon in clock flashes. Other products do this but my old alarm clock didn't. I'm very light sensitive so this concerned me. However, I discovered that the flashing colon is subtle unlike other products. With the dimmer on its lowest setting (display still on), I don't have a flashing disco globe party in my bedroom at night while trying to sleep and I can still look at the time in the night.Wishes- Wish I could get a white one...went with gray.- Wish I could change the color of the display.- Wish I didn't have to put batteries into it for the backup. My old one took a 9V. But it always annoyed me when the 9V ran out of power because I would never find out until power would go out and I would wake up late for work. This day and age, why not build a small lithium ion battery into the unit and let the wall outlet keep it charged.Overall, great little product. Thanks, team.

Great Value & Features
It’s very aesthetic & modern looking. Setting the time, alarm, & radio stations was fairly easy following the enclosed instructions but if anyone needs a more visual step by step tutorial then their official Youtube channel is very helpful. I also read some complaints about the radio reception & what i found worked was to make sure the antennae is completely stretched out & I would have to move it around to get better reception for some stations. Also pointing it towards my window helped with some stations to be a bit clearer. I also tried the wireless charging & although it’s not as fast as charging my iPhone directly from the outlet, it was still adequate. For one hour of wireless charging, my battery increased from 80% to 95%. I could connect my phone to the Dawn’s bluetooth without problems but just remember to increase the volume of your phone so you can hear sound from the speaker because I initially forgot to do that & mistakenly thought the speaker was broken. The speaker itself is adequate & the volume can fill my bedroom but because this is under a $100, the sound quality will not be comparable to premium speakers. But knowing that I was satisfied with the sound & volume. Another thing to note, although there are 5 levels of brightness, the second to the last setting is still a bit bright in the dark. Fortunately the clock is out of my line of sight so that isn’t an issue for me.A few functions I wish the Dawn had is the ability to automatically set my alarm for weekdays so I wouldn’t have to turn it off manually on the weekends, automatic dimming of the clock display when the lights are off, & the clock being able to set up the correct time on its own. But overall the Dawn had all the features I’ve been looking for in an alarm clock, especially the ability to wake up to my fave radio station.

Nice clock with lots of features, but a few idiosyncrasies
I bought this clock because it supports dual alarms, FM radio, and wireless charging. It also has a nice, modern look.On the minus side, the written instructions are very unclear. Go watch the YouTube video to figure out how to set up the clock. What makes it hard to set up is a bunch of steps require you to do a long press of the button. That is not obvious in the instructions but it's clearly explained in the video. The audio volume is also odd. The lowest volume of the radio is not that low. But when using a Bluetooth device, it's inaudible. You have to crank it up. That makes switching between radio and Bluetooth annoying because you always have to adjust the volume when you switch. The brightness is also dim, even at the highest setting. Not a big deal except when you're trying to set it up and trying to read the status displays. Also the dimmer light is the same as the snooze button. So every time you hit snooze, the display is dimmed. Slightly annoying
