We use candles, do a lot of grilling, and like to have campfires, so this little guy is getting a workout. Right out of the box, the lighter felt sturdy. It was easy to fill and my husband had no issue adjusting the flame size to get it to light consistently. (If yours doesn't light easily, try adjusting the flame!) It is easy for me to light and I like that you have to hold the lever to keep the flame going, or I probably would drop it and set my carpet on fire at some point. The flame is steady and pretty wind-resistant. Definitely better than the $3 torches we used before!

I LOVE this lighter! It’s durable, yet easy to use and looks so sleek. The attatched screwdriver is so useful! Also we’ve used it for cooking as a “blow torch” substitute and it’s worked well for that as well. Some people are bothered by the need to hold down the button, but I love it as a safety feature. I haven’t used it quite enough yet, but I think that I’ll end up saving money on purchasing the throw away plastic lighters even before replacing the gas in this one.

This item has a solid and sleek design that appealed to me when I made the purchase, but the overall unit is defective or I don't know how to use it. The flame on the pen will take several times, if any, to light. When the flame actually appears, it only last a few seconds and the frustration begins. I've emptied the chamber of butane and refilled, I've followed the steps to adjust the flame, I've tried another type of butane, but I am still getting the annoying click click click, so I just put it away. Unfortunately I missed the return window, so please ensure your device works properly when received.

The lighter is cool, but not reliable.Hard to light and rarely stays lit for any legnth of time.Doesn’t work on high at all. Turning the flame down helps.It might be an altitude thing as I live in Denver. However I do have jet style lighters that work fine here, but they don’t work at all up higher in the mountains. On my next trip to a lower elevation I will test it and update the review.

One of the questions asked about this as part of the review was is it giftable... ABSOLUTELY!It comes well presented. Right out of mailing package it is presented as a gift.Easy to fill. Son loves it. His use is not traditional. He uses it to age wood figures and burn designs in wood. If it can do that... It can light your cigar. LolVery slim. Nice design. Fits well in hand and easy to control.

I liked this product when I saw it, nice design and size. However, I bought the first one and it stopped working after the first refill. I thought it must be a one off so I ordered 2 more. Same problem!! The first fuel fill works great and after that they won’t catch the spark.

So I actually didn't mean to purchase this item, it was something my husband put in our cart when he meant to add it to his wish list. But either way, it ended up purchased and my hubby was surprised and happy to get it. It is already put together, he just added the fluid. It is very large, almost like a wand from Harry Potter, and it has some weight to it. The only issue we've had is that the button for the gas gets stuck right before it lights and you have to blow out the flame to get it to die and then wait a minute and move the button back down to turn off.
