I would like to know the line capacity. You guys should list this for every reel and almost none of them have it.

Can other people comment about the noise of this reel? I read that two star review and I want to know how seriously to take his comments.

Noise is Not an issue, unless you object to hearing a 30 lb+ redfish strip a 100-yards of line for about 10 seconds. I've used 35-lb test braid and regularly apply 20+ lbs of drag on bull redfish without a problem. The reel is in its third season, with only regular lubrication, and new line being needed... Offshore - It's a 5-Star reel all-day-long!

I bought a citrix 6'6 ml travel rod along with this reel. will they pair well?

Had this in the 30s on a 6'8 simano crucial. Moved it to a 602 heavy tfo lefty rod. Better balance. One of the best reels I have ever fished even if it was twice the price. Not sure how much your citrix weighs but since travel rods usually run heavy 40s should be a pretty good fit

I plan to use 20lb Braid on the 40s. Should I back it with mono first? Or does it hold just fine without backing?

It holds just fine without backing. My husband uses 20lb braid, with fluorocarbon leader and it works great!
