It’s supply and demand. I saw it be at 31.00 or as low as$13. No reason for such a difference in prices.

No, it is not. Each bag is 1.5oz. The description is misleading. Here is the math - 8x12oz is 96oz which is 6lbs of jerky. This is not 6lbs of jerky for 13 bucks.
