I set up the 6-year-stored Pro-Form XT Crosswalk I hauled from my son's house, downloaded a user manual, and wondered why it wouldn't work -- UNTIL I read that it needed a "Safety Key." My Amazon search found this one that looked like it would fit in the slot (and purported it would), I ordered it, and, low and behold, it was exactly what made the treadmill work like a charm. Bottom line: Ignore items that don't even look like what you want (there were other Safety Keys -- magnetic and various sizes -- that had no resemblance to the picture in the manual or the receiving slot), even though they said they'd fit in a Pro-Form treadmill.

The media could not be loaded. We’ve had this treadmill hanging around out back for a few years since the key snapped off the safety cord. Been going to the gym, but hoping to work out from home. Got some weights and figured it’s about time to see about getting a new treadmill key. This product seemed to be the one I was looking for and for less than $10, I thought it was worth a shot. The shipping cost was rather high, so I got a few more things to get free shipping. It arrived on time and matched the broken key in size. But would it fit? Yes, it did! But would the treadmill work? YES, it did! Color me surprised. After some cleaning up, I hope there’s some more years to be had on this thing and that this key to health holds out just as long. Thanks so much Impresa!
