Garrity65-082 LED Touch Lite with Timer

I've used a couple different motion activated battery powered lights, and they're all garbage. I needed light in the shed, and I'm unwilling to try any more of those motion-activated hunks of junk. The Garrity Touch Lite with Timer is perfect. I just turn the light on by tapping it when I enter the shed, and it shuts off automatically. I think it had options for 1, 2 and 5 minutes. I picked the shortest period, because I seldom need more time in the shed.Brightness: If you don't know where things are, this isn't bright enough for larger spaces. I might add another one to the back of the shed, or on the ceiling. We'll see. ...If they made it too bright, people would complain that the batteries didn't last long enough. I think it's plenty bright.Good value. Good product. Get it.

This thing is great - I bought it for my closet, which doesn't have a light! My husband and I work opposite schedules,and I need light in the mornings to get ready, but he's sleeping. We mounted this on the closet wall and it is SUPER bright (yay!). The timer is great for us, because I have a bad habit of leaving lights on. This way, if I leave for work and forget to turn it off, it turns itself off in 1-5 minutes, depending on the setting you choose, and he doesn't have to get out of bed to turn it off. Great value for the money. It feels a little flimsy, but it's mounted, so it's not like I'm going to be carrying it around. Perfect for my needs!

The best feature of this light is the timer. Switch on the light and it will turn off in 1 min, 2 mins, or 5 minutes (or no timer). I would only recommend it if that feature was very important to you, but I will caution that this product is cheaply made and it shows. The plastic is of low quality and the switch not very smooth in operation. I wouldn't call it touch -- the entire lens is the on/off switch and must be pressed (unlike some true battery powered touch LED lights that are available). My 2 year old sometimes doesn't fully depress the button enough that it will stay on. Besides that, it puts out a decent amount of light. It is bright enough for reading in bed when placed on a night stand.

I use this for going into my bathroom in the middle of the night. The light switch is at the other end of the room, so I can just press this entering from my bedroom. I wouldn't suggest this if you are looking for a very bright light, but it is perfect for sleepy eyes that don't want a big "wake up" blast of light in the middle of the night.

very flimsy. cheap. gives off the I'm going to break on you soon feeling when pressed... got 2. going to keep one and return the other one.no instructions or screws - but came with batteries at least.UPDATE:not returnable without restock charge - and expect you to pay to ship it back.waste of money!!!

I rarely review things, trying to start to help out other shoppers whose reviews have helped me. This is a great little light. I was concerned about mounting, as there isn't any detail provided. This has the perfect mount "system" in my opinion--a notch centered in the back. So put any old nail or screw wherever you want on the wall and rest the light on the notch...installed. No messing around with tape or Velcro or other mounting headaches, and people complaining about mounting are either slow or the notch is a new feature. Light is bright enough for a decent sized coat closet and the storage shed, I bought one for each location. I expect the batteries to last a long time because I only use them for a minute or so each time. Yes it's lightweight but there's no need for heavy materials and this makes it easy to mount and keeps the price down. Shutoff feature works correctly on both lights. Absolutely recommend.

Great product for lighting my closet. Easy installation. Definitely solved my problem of a dark closet. I have not used it long enough to comment on battery life but with the timer that automatically turns it off, I am guessing that the batteries should not need replacing very often.

Used in our closets for about a year now and still on the original set of batteries. Very easy solution for closets, cabinets and other areas where it'd be nice to have a light but wiring a regular light would be difficult (or expensive to bring in an electrician).
