I inherited this Seth Thomas mantle clock from my mother and the key was missing. For the last 4 years I have ordered several elsewhere and nobe have fit until I read a review here that someone else has a Seth Thomas clock and this key worked. I had my doubts but when I put the key in, it fit perfectly and for the first time in many years I have the Westminster chimes playing again. This clock means a lot to me and carries many memories so thank you for selling the key that brought back all my early memories with my mom and grandparents!

Exactly what I needed for my clock

This is to let customers know that this key fits the Hamilton 340-020 clock. The key is sturdy. The clock has a plastic receptical that holds the key. The receptacle is on the inside of the rear door. This particular model has an E engraved on the movement. I believe that the E means the clock was made in 1982.

Not quite a perfect fit although it works fine. Seems a little oversized.

Fast delivery. Quality item. I bought this key on a gamble, hoping it would fit my Seth Thomas helmsman clock. I saw a review that indicated their purchase of the key fit the helmsman clock which they had. I was not as lucky. The key does not fit through the hole in the face of the clock. The diameter of the key shift is too wide. Guess I'll keep looking...LOL.
