Understanding Fragile X Syndrome: A Guide for Families and Professionals (JKP Essentials)

I'm searching for a book to share with family members, so that they will have a better understanding of fragile x. This book was informative, and it will definitely be given to my family members. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars, is because I would have liked to have seen more examples for each topic covered regarding symptoms of Fragile x.

I found this book to be very helpful to understand fragile X and the impact.

This book was a tremendous help as we learn more and more about this affliction. We have two grandsons who were recently diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome. We are heavily involved with their support and assistance with any treatment and or agencies and resources we can find to make their lives better and to help them become successful and independent as possible. Thank you for making this informative available and to help us understand the nature and cause and reasons for this diagnosis.

A good read for parents of children newly diagnosed with Fragile X, however it is not a guide on how to move forward from diagnosis to daily living.

This book was perfect for a quick understanding of Fragile X and how it is aquired. Easy to understand, even if you are feeling overwhelmed. I would strongly recommend to anyone that has just gotten this diagnosis, just enough to get your feet wet and be able to ask good questions of your practitioner.

I would rate this higher and as a matter of fact, what I can read, I think is great. The problem I have is with the publishing company. The book only contains every other page and in some cases, it skips three pages. It needs to be returned as it is useless to me. Again, not the author or its content from what I can tell, moreover a publishing nightmare as I would assume there are others out there just like it.

I found the information in this book easy to understand in a time when life seems overwhelming. It does not answerEvery question I have, but is a good place to start on a quest for information to help my son
