This tool has no moving parts so it has few factors to use to evaluate it. The 'barrel' is a good size for my hand but people with bigger hands might find it harder to handle. What would be nice, and inexpensive to implement, is if it had a slot on the bottom of the handle to hold the starting end of the wire. It's only used for a few minutes when you start a new chain, but it would be useful.The only criticisms I can think of are the instructions do not mention it is easier to start pulling on the loop after the one where the wire 'ends' Nor does it mention how to end a chain. When you've made a chain as long as you want, how to 'tie' the wire up? It doesn't mention that you can pull the chain through a draw plate like  Draw Plate Round 10-32 Gauge - SFC Tools - 28-625  to make the chain thinner and the loops more even, and LONGER!And the instructions show a chain with beads in the center -- a 'cage' of wire with beads. How does one do that?

I watched tutorials on YouTube on how to use this and it's not as easy as it looks and the finished product isn't as nice and neat. I foresee a lot of practice and money spent on wire in the future in order to get proficient with this gadget.

Super sturdy design but I feel this should come with the tool that one undoubtedly needs to use this product, as it is definitely necessary to have another tool to pull one wire loop over the other. Also, the weight which is needed to pull the finished woven wires down from inside and create an even finished product would be a fantastic addition, as it's necessary to use this product.I only am writing this because I'm one of those people that get super excited to try new things and when I ordered this, I was looking forward to using it the day I received it, only to find I needed the crotchet hook or similar tool, and the weights to create the finished product. Only slightly disappointed, otherwise a pretty fabulous design

Ordered this for a 9 year old to use with rubber loom bands to make a hexafish design bracelet. It works great for that use - having the space between each prong makes it super easy to grab the band and loop it up and over. The space between the prongs is also just right for the rubber bands and we haven't had any trouble with the bands slipping off over the top by mistake. The size of the barrel fits nicely in the hand and it feels sturdy like it should last a good while. We have been using a knitting loom pick to do the looping. We like this knitter tool so much we ordered a second one.

I am still learning to work with it but I think it will be super once I get the hand eye coordination thing down. Very sturdy. And fits in my hand, which is small. Thank you

If you want to learn French/spool knitting, this is the ideal starter tool! It is also a staple for your tool box if you continue. Sturdy and well made.

Great tool for weaving wire.

I had some issues with receiving my order, but to be honest it was probably the carriers fault. This is pretty nifty and easy to use for wire knitting. I am currently trying my hand at Viking knit with it. Viking knit usually uses 5 prong instead of 6 but it isn't that difficult to use.

Super! Yeah! Finally, I got one! This is the third one I've ordered! Only the first two times were from other places. Thank you Smartmart, for being to store that came through!!! I've wanted one of these since before Christmas! Naturally, I tried it out the minute I took it out of the box! It works great! I first tried it with a26 gage wire but that didn't work to well. So then, I tried it with a 34 gage wire, and walla! It worked!!!Yes, yes, I would recommend this product and this seller!!!

I love this kind of knitting spool. As a child my mother use thread spool and put 4 nails n hammered them. Spools and I are inseparable cos I love them ans use wool and after I done around 4-5 feet and put in circle n sew them together. Even in squares. Spools are the best thing in my life and helped me relax.
