OEM = perfect fit
These are replacements for the pads that have been on my MDR-V6 for ages. They may have been the originals. They're a pain to put on, but you do want the OEM pads. They last longer, and the pads you install can change the sound of a pair of headphones. Worth a little extra...

Easy repair after 6 years of service
Easy to install. Maybe all in my head but I felt like it restored some sound quality.

Another Pair Already? Oh, LOL
The ear pads on my Sony MDR-V6 (yes, they're THAT old) are flaking off again. I thought to myself "but I JUST put a new set of pads on these!"Checked my previous Amazon orders and found that indeed I did get them from Amazon.10 years ago, lol! I guess I got my money's worth.Ordering again.

Saved me from having to replace my Sony professional headphones
I've owned a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones for 20 years. I originally used them to monitor on-camera sound as a wedding & event videographer. For the last 14 years, I've used them for music production. In recent years, I feed them music from a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96, but the original headphone pads had ripped open on the inside, exposing the yellow foam. With the pads damaged, the headphones lost their ability to project a lot of low and midrange frequencies, leaving the 'phones sounding "tinny" like an old transistor radio. I'd been considering replacing the 7506's with Audio-Technicas or another set of Sony headphones. I spent a lot of time in stores listening to various headphones and was nearly ready to order when I stumbled across these replacement pads on Amazon. I was reluctant to buy the less-expensive off-brand pads after reading customer reviews. I'm glad I selected the OEM Sony pads, because they are not only lightweight and comfortable, but they have restored the low and midrange frequencies that have been missing from my MDR-7506 headphones. Buying these pads literally saved me at least $100 to achieving the balanced, articulate tone of the MDR-7506 'phones. I recommend them to any MDR-7506 owner. I might buy another pair just in case.

Worth every penny!
I have been using "off brand" ear pads for my Sony headphones. They don't stay on the headphone, and fall apart in a short period of time. I purchased the Sony brand and what a difference! It was a little challenging to get on the headphones, which is a good thing as they won't keep falling off the headset. The sound quality with the Sony headphones is much better . They are more comfortable to wear than the cheap knockoffs. I purchased a second set to have as a backup.

Couldn't be without them
We all know we expect these cushions to just be there when we need them. Then one day, after a few years , we put on the headset and one of the pads has become see-through. So we buy a new pair, put them on the Sony 7506 earphones and keep right on doing what we've been doing for the last 10 years. The quality and comfort of these pads never varies and sometimes I think about buying a backup pair, but they last so long, I'm sure I'd forget where I put them by the time I need them.

The Real Deal
I have a few pairs of Sony 7506 professional headphones, the industry standard for many years. I got stiffed by another company that claimed they were genuine. They didn't even fit. These are the same top quality Sonys, some originals being 50 years old
