The book is about mindfulness and the author is basing his method on psychology.So it is like a mix of traditional mindfulness backed with psychology science, which makes it very promising.I wont lie to you, there is about at least 65% of this book that is DRY and not very enjoyable reading material. BUT, the rest is GOLD!If you are a mentor, you definitely need to read the second book that is inside...

Finally a Sufi who is able to unite both Eastern and Western thought and speak to the mystic as well as the rational mind.You will find some secrets and some clarifications in here that are rarely spoken about.

To an ordinary person, this book is very difficult. Too many ideas without any scheme or map. The author is too vague and elusive. A very boring book without conciseness. I gave it two stars only because this is the only author I came across to talk about the essence. I think that this topic can be written much more clearly without too many words.

A method that takes us to reality through inquiry about ourselves, emotions, feelings and thoughts to reach the base of the situation we face.I've waited a long time to find this method used.

A must read for anyone seriously interested in spirituality and bring it back home to the everyday personality and society. It's not a strictly a Non-Dual text but rather deals with the intermediate reality of the soul's progress through realizing essence (or ideas or divine qualities) and becoming a transparent presence.

For someone interested in the Diamond Approach, this book is an excellent place to begin. It is easier reading than some of the others and is broken down into digestable chunks. I love it and am highlighting in my Kindle so I am go back and reread even more quickly.

Excellent books in one volume, clearly written, well thought out and researched.I followed the advice of previous reviewers and read "The Elixir of Enlightenment" first.It is a short book, was chronologically published first, and gives a good introduction to the book "Essence".
