Beware of the fake review. We bought 5 and none of those work. We tried drivers, updates, all we knew but it just would show yellow exclamation in the device manager and never would start. This could be B grade stock or worse.

Never bought a Bluetooth dongle before; all my previous peripherals came with their own (usually ptoprietary) USB transceivers. Took about 20 minutes to get Windows 7, this gadget and a BT keyboard not only to pair, but to stay that way through powering off and on. Works fine now.Blinkinging blue light is annoyingly bright an distracting, so covered it with tape.

I don't understand why other people gave this unit less the 5*s. I received mine, installed it on my Toshiba laptop with windows 7/64 bit., then,I verified that the driver was correctly installed. Next step, I selected the Bluetooth unit to be used, and since I could not set it as my default unitI just clicked on the icon recognizing my Bluetooth speaker as the unit of choice to be in use. There after, I just restarted my laptop, and there it was, ready to play. I am an average computer user without much knowledge in many of its application, and found this installation to be quite straight forward. I will be doing an addendum in the future if I find any different or wrong. But for now, it is a 5* dongle.

I'm sure this is a perfectly fine bluetooth device for most purposes. I was using a serial connection to connect and update its settings because I need to have a specific baud rate (how often it sends data per second), but it kept throwing an error when I tried. I got a different UC-06 bluetooth adapter and that one was much easier to configure. If you don't need to do anything that technical, it's probably fine, but it didn't work for me.

I bought this device to attach a bluetooth game controller (Dual Shock 4) to my Windows 10 system. It worked so well I wanted to get a second DS4, but almost everyone online said a second DS4 would have to be by USB wire since Windows bluetooth could not handle multiple controllers. I happened across a video of someone who connected 4 DS4 to his computer, so I crossed my fingers and ordered the second DS4. It paired seamlessly and can now play two player games without a hitch.

I ordered the 2 pack, and neither of them will connect to my android Bluetooth.I have another one on the octoped I'm building, and it works fine. I tried to swap both of the ones I bought here (not at the same time) in place of my original one, and neither connects. If someone knows how to get these to connect, please let me know.EDIT: After trying over and over, one started working, then later that night, the other was also working. Increasing the stars given.

The reviews i read where all positive, but it was not as great as it sounded. compared to the 20 dollar one i got at bestbuy which was not that great to begin with and only reached like 12 feet away. This one is six feet from my computer and it can disconnect with slight interference. I am using a xbox one controller and if i am not right in-front of the computer it will get disconnected sometimes from moving around

I had to fiddle with settings a little more because of LINUX operating system but it said it was LINUX compatible and it was. It connected every time no problem but I found it took 2 or 3 tries to link up. Once linked it worked fine. I am satisfied with both the price and performance.
