Keeps on Punching!
This punch is inexpensive, it works, and it creates an effective subtle hole for the lanyard clip.Made of strong working parts. Not junky. Able to withstand the pressure of well...punching! Holds up to 4-5 thick pieces of paper.Happy to have it in my arsenal of tools for parties, meetings, etcUse the TruLam ID Card Badge Slotted Hole Punch with the Wisdompro lanyards. The clip fits the hole punch.

The one you want!
I needed to punch 80 cards and this thing does a great job. You cant exactly see where the punch is going to land, but experimenting is super quick and easy. I punched 80 cards in 5 minutes. Sturdy build quality.

Perfect!
This punch is exactly what we needed to punch badges for all of our events. The punch is an oval/elongated (not round) hole that fits bulldog clip lanyards nicely. We had a handheld punch that did not apply enough pressure on our plastic badges to completely punch, plus our hands got tired using the handheld punch. This puncher stays on the desk/table so your hands do not fatigue. I'm able to punch multiple plastic budges with no problem. Great purchase...totally recommend!

No hesitation to recommend this product
I just received today and already went through more than 100 ID cards, it worked perfectly. No hesitation to recommend this product. Do not buy any other hand version of hole punchers since it takes a lot of time to make a couple of holes. Desktop version is very useful especially for schools or big companies. I bought the hand version and returned it back right after I received it. Also that one has a ruler that helps you to center you hole on the ID.

Did the job well.
This product worked like a charm, and it cuts through the plastic very well. Not a super durable construction, but it was inexpensive, and gets the job done. I only dropped a star because the guide doesn't go small enough to center a hole on the short side of the card. It is easy enough to eye ball the center, but I am a stickler for precision and consistency.

Great fix for broken blinds
I bought this to punch slots in some of my broken vertical blinds. I saw a few other buyers mention that they had done the same, and they are all spot on. This thing works great for vertical blinds. I just take my broken blinds and cut it off just below the old slot, then re-punch. It snaps right back in like the original deal. Net loss of blind is about 3/8". Much cheaper than new blinds.

Performance issues.
So far, I am very happy with this product. I was going to go for the cheaper handheld one, but after reading reviews I decided on this one. I need to punch through several hundred badges (printed paper and laminated) for an event. This punch works really well and makes a clean cut hole. I was even able to stack about 5 or 6 badges together and still get a clean cut hole.I've only done a few so far, but I will update if I notice any change in performance after several hundred punches.Update 7/7/16: We'll, after punching 100 badges (printed paper eith 3 miles lamination), this has stopped performing at 100%. It still punches but does not do a complete cut so you have to pull the partially cut piece out. I was only punching one or two badges at a time.

Great little card punch
Ok, so I had read that the guide doesn't work when punching cards on the short side, but if you're using the standard sized pvc card it ends up being the exact size of the punch platform so you just put your fingers on either side of it to keep it centered, punch, and voila, a perfectly centered punch on the short side! It is pretty sturdy and alot easier than a handheld punch. This really is a handy little card punch and because it's small it makes storing it when not in use easy. I'm happy I chose it and would buy it again.
