Great unit for the price, does what it says.
Great little unit, fits neatly on the side and it is so good to hear music that I like again as most of my music I can't find in a digital format. Loved playing records again and although the arm is manual, trying to gently lift and put down the needle reminded me of my long lost youth!!Although the speaker cable is shorter than I would like (120cm approx including end jack/plug), the connectors are standard plugs (3mm) so extending without having to cut them off is useful. The unit defaults to CD and a volume 18 setting whenever I turn it on which is a bit annoying as 18 is a bit too loud and reverting to CD is also annoying as I would like it to keep the previous settings. But, I haven't read the instructions to see if you can create your own default set up yet. It is very easy to change the function and volume using the remote or buttons on the unit. I cannot get a DAB radio reception in my house so no idea how that works but the FM reception is better than with my last hifi unit and the aerial attached by a tv aerial socket so for FM I can use my tv aerial but the aerial included works great. The speakers themselves are ok, not quite the "full" sound I would like but as I can extend the cables, the sound might improve if I put the speakers in a different position or up on the walls. Another good point is that although the unit has a built in EQ, it also has a "tone" knob on the unit which allows you to move between more bass or more treble. As far as I can tell (having only skim read the instructions), the bluetooth setting is to receive bluetooth which means I can't pair my headphones. But, there is a headphone socket and I have a bluetooth transmitter so I just plug that in and I get to wander around my house listening to music. When the headphone socket is in use, the system does not have music coming out through the speakers though. All in all, very glad I bought it.

Compact design, multi-functional
My previous machine, not from the same seller, was the same basic design as this, so i decided to stick with something similar. This model has DAB radio as an additional feature, which I approve of, and - that rarity - a tone control, which I approve of even more. The sound quality is excellent for the speaker size and wattage. I principally kept to a design i was familiar with due to the ease of digitising cassettes. It's simple to do, nothing fiddly about it, unlike some other methods. The one thing I was less enthusiastic about was the addition of a clock and stand-by mode. This means the central blue screen is lit all the time, and so is a red light. The clock itself has very small digits. You have to be very close to it to read them. But other than that, a neat and versatile midi-system.

Great sound for the price
It sounds good now that I have added the speakers from my older stereoThe speakers supplied with it are low qualityThe EQ mode is good for enhancing the toneI recorded a couple of my vinal records to tape and the quality of recording was poor but the tape player does sound good with pre recorded tapesThe dab radio is really good and very simple to set upThe instruction manuel is extremely small print I had to go to the window and strain to use itA good tip is to take a picture on your I pad or phone of the page you want to read and expand it on your screenOverall happy with the stereo and can listen to all my old vinal records againDelivery was poor took 8 days but arrived safely and well packed

As good as I hoped it would be
Received today ahead of schedule and it really is a great piece of kit. Easy to operate, very clear instructions so you can get the most out of it and it was everything I hoped it would be. Nice compact size so it doesn't take up very much space which was great for me but still very stylish. I'm not very tech-minded so trebles and bases are beyond me - all I know is it looks good, sounds good and I'm really looking forward to playing all my old LPs (sorry vinyls!). Excellent VFM and highly recommended.

Not a as expected
Where to start, the system looks fancy, all the bells and whistles but that's where it stops. After being setup and used the Bluetooth feature and sound quality isn't great, neither is the volume. Both of the tape decks where also not working, contacted amazon and sent this back.

Decent enough for the price but speakers disappoint
Solid system but speakers are disappointing- sounds much better using decent headphones! CD player, radio and tape players all work well. Phono arm a little lightweight however so jumps frequently and return system a bit awkward.

the record Player is very good
I like the record player the sound is good the disc player is easy to use but the volume could be louder. I found the tuner difficult to tune in but that may by Area.Cannot get digital radio but again that may be the area. the Ariel supplied was not any use in my house probably poor signal but an old portable tv ariel works.the cassette works ok have not tried recording or usb overall good value for the money

Great stereo HiFi unit
Brilliant unit, however I never used speakers that were in the package. They were looking very small and I don't think it would give a good sound quality. I bought it to replace my old unit and had my old 40W speakers, that works brilliantly with the main unit. Definitely money well spent
