Although my tendinitis was measurably better with the podiatrist's version
I walk 5 miles everyday, and I have tendinitis in my right ankle. My podiatrist sold me Power Step Pro, but his version was not the "control" model. Although my tendinitis was measurably better with the podiatrist's version, I was not able to do any high impact exercise without flaring up my tendinitis. When I found out I could order these from Amazon (much cheaper because I didn't have to pay for a doctor's visit and the insoles are cheaper on Amazon), I knew this was a win-win for me. However when I made that first order, I didn't realize the Power Step insoles were different from the podiatrist, but it was a fantastic mistake! The Power Step Control have a higher heel which is what alleviates the tendon pain. I can do short spurts of high impact exercise with the "control" insoles, and very rarely have to ice my foot anymore. I believe there is also more arch support in the "control" version which I may or may not need, but they are comfortable so that's all I care about. Last year I was traveling abroad and wanted to break in new shoes and insoles before we left. Much to my horror I could not find them on Amazon. The Power Step company suggests getting these from your doctor. So I made an appointment with my podiatrist. He didn't carry the "control" model and said he couldn't order them either! So he gave me the choice to either use the ones he sells in the office or he could make custom orthotics. Since the Power Step from his office only helped about 75% of the time, I told him to make custom. What a disaster! The custom insoles were not comfortable and actually made my tendinitis worse. (not to mention extremely expensive) Luckily, I got a refund for the orthotics and checked again on Amazon and found them. Fingers crossed I will always be able to order from Amazon. They are a lifesaver for me.

Best insoles ever for me
These insoles are excellent. Without them my shoes would not be as comfortable and therapeutic for my feet. But these are my feet. ISee how they work for your feet. Try before you buy.

Made my feet feel much better!
These inserts made being on my feet 8-10 hours a day much better. Please do not wear them 8-10 hours a day right when you get them. Start with a couple hours a day and take them out when your feet start hurting. Repeat the next day. Took me about a week for me to be able to wear them a whole shift.

good support and good arch support
Good orthotic but I took off a star for the exorbitant price. These used to be cheaper pre covid.

Recommended by my podiatrist
I purchased a set of these from my podiatrist's office, and they worked so well that I ordered a second pair online for a different pair of shoes. These are thick enough to make a difference but not so thick that they crowd my foot in the shoe.

My favorite over-the-counter orthotics
I used to get plantar fasciitis all the time, tendonitis and even stress fractures from overpronating. I had prescription orthotics years ago, and they weren't very comfortable. Later I used another over-the-counter brand which was not very durable. A podiatrist recommended these for my husband, and I needed new orthotics so I tried them too. They are fantastic! They fit in all my shoes that have a removable innersole and make them feel like sneakers. My feet don't hurt, and I am not injured constantly. They hold up well to wear, and the price is reasonable. This is my second pair, and I will keep buying them for as long as Powerstep keeps making them.
