Far more practical than using the standard screws to attach/remove the door plate multiple times a day. These slides are exactly as advertised and well-made. They are expensive though (why I rated 4 starts), especially when considered with the main door expense. I can't imagine this holding up to repetitive boot kicks, but I don't know what dog door would last through that sort of attack. They do offer peace of mind for us, knowing that whatever might come through the door at night will have to make a lot of noise to do so. I bought size large for my Lab, and the door is absolutely people-sized, well, wife-sized.

I've purchased two of the Plexidor pet doors, and I wanted an easier way to install and remove the metal lockout door, so I bought this. It is definitely a convenience, but $100+ for two pieces of steel? I could have found something in the local hardware store that would have been much cheaper and just as effective.This should be included with the door for the price. It makes installing/removing the metal lockout door easy, but it still leaves a visible gap between the door and the wall, so don't expect it to provide any type of insulation from heat or cold.

This is a super-slick pet door. The tracks are easy to install, look great, and serve their purpose. Really worth the investment. My sister used trim to create the same but after buying these I would never create a DIY project. They are smart and highly functional.

This is one heck of a door but I shouldn’t have to pay extra for a sliding door lock. This should already be built into the door.

Expensive for what it is but it's easier than the alternative. I use every night.

Need to be more flush with gapping eliminated or less then currently is. Makes the cover moreFlimsy. Lock flips down and up with nothing to lock the flipper in place. Excepted more for this premium brand.

Spend the extra $ to have your dog door completely secured! It is worth it. Designed and works beautifully with PlexiDor Performance Pet Door! Great product!

The door works fine but it's WAY too expensive for what it is.

Honestly these should come WITH the dog door... it’s a bit of a money grab because they don’t.. but I mean they work great! But they only get 3 stars because for the price of the dog door, these rails shouldn’t be another hundred and some dollars.
