These OPT7 Aura Pro LED lights completely transformed my car’s interior! 🚗💡 I couldn’t believe the difference it made the first time I turned them on — it’s like stepping into a custom show car every time I open the door. The colors are rich, vibrant, and so easy to customize through the app 📱 or the included remote. Whether I’m setting the mood for a night cruise 🌙 or syncing them to my favorite music 🎶 with the Sound Active mode, the vibes are unmatched.Installation was super simple. The adhesive is strong and held the strips securely in place, and everything plugged right in with the 12V car charger — no splicing or crazy wiring needed. 🔧👌 I especially love the double LED rows for extra brightness — they light up my footwells and under seats perfectly, and the multicolor options let me match them to the interior or my mood 💜💛💙.This set is also super durable and high quality. Super bright. I love the color vibrancy. It was a little hard to get it to stick to my front footwells but I found some heavy duty automotive Velcro that did work. The power supply failed on me I had to jiggle it and it eventually came loose but their customer support was quick to reply and is getting me a replacement that easily plugs into the installed system and a cigarette adapter. At some point I’d like to just wire it into a fuse tap, and for sure the door assist is one of the best interior LED setups I’ve seen.Incredibly bright, my kids absolutely love both normal color mode and dancing to music. I have a three row SUV and the six piece double row kit was perfect.

The media could not be loaded. When I received this product I was blown away by the impressive packaging and components, it was a thoroughly thought out kit as they say "built not bought" ... but to a point.The kit includes: zip ties, double sided tape (with even an activator patch), mounting holders and screws, choice of power options - cigarette lighter adapter (with a convenient on/off switch) or pro fuse tap (taps for 3 common fuse types included) and my favourite part - connectorised light strips which meant I can install the light strips independently then neatly run the wires through existing harnesses and small creases to the control unit wherever you decide to locate it.Installation was somewhat straight forward until it came to the entry/door wire connections. This was not labelled positive nor negative so it took a few minutes to quickly look up online which revealed it needed to go to a live/positive wire to activate. This is also one of the areas where this kit falls down as in my country most of the vehicles use ground/negative door triggers. More on this and a workaround is highlighted on youtube by Kent Brodie under "How to PROPERLY wire your OPT7 Aura interior lighting kit WITH door assist".Since I was using the bluetooth version and my vehicle has a Push to Start button, I wired mine to an accessory wire which goes live once the vehicle is locked / unlocked by the key fob.Where it goes south?There are 5 color modes:- Solid, Strobe, Pulse, Cycle and Sync (to Sound). In all modes except Sync the light can stay on a fixed color which is great if you want to stick with a color team or have a preference however; in Sync mode, the light cycles through the kaleidoscope of colors which might work for some persons but is also unnerving and annoying as it makes you feel as though you're in a disco in the 1970's. Contact with Opt7 support said there was no way for the Sync mode to stay on one color which is really sad. Though the Sync mode should also work to the beat of the music playing, this mode, even on the lowest sensitivity strangely reacts to vibration road noises such as rough roads, rumble strips or unpaved roads.Another disappointment of the android app is that if you have an aftermarket Android head unit and are hoping to install the app there, it would not detect the led controller as the app is designed to only run on devices with a bluetooth class of "mobile". Again another really annoying limitation as why reach for your mobile phone if you have an android auto head unit?Hopefully, there can be some updates to correct these minor issues of an otherwise great product.
