Works with right technique
I had used two other, less safe for pets, mouse baits, pushed deep down into the most pesky/active vole hole near our house, with big rock over the hole, but every day the vole just tunneled around it or a few weeks. Then I tried a peanut butter baited mouse trap under a big pail with rock on the pail. For 3 days the trap would be sprung with no vole. Then the VoleX arrived. Also a friend told me voles don't like to dig through coarse small gravel. So, I used a teaspoon of VoleX pushed way down the hole with a small wood dowel on a dry day, with a little bit of moss (dry leaves or grass would work also) over it to protect from dirt and gravel. Then a little soil, a little coarse gravel packed over the soil, and covered in more soil. SUCCESS! It has been 2 weeks now, and that vole has not re-emerged. Did the same on a few other very active obvious vole holes a little further away in our yard; those have not re-emerged either. I like that I don't have to worry about my dog, or a neighbor's cat that frequents our yard, getting poisoned (or the hawks and owls that are around). Several years ago our yard got overrun with voles. Am hoping to prevent that. Now am working on some vole holes on our property further away from our house. The VoleX still seems to be working.(But please note that I doubt it would work to just spread around on the top of the soil. Also, grey squirrels and pets could eat enough to affect them if you did that; also VoleX is not supposed to get wet).

Useless!
Not sure I can say more about this product. I have a terrible vole problem and I have poured enough of this that you would think it would destroy all existence but I'm pretty sure they are taking it back and creating a four-course meal out of it. Gave them enough to start a Michelin level restaurant out of it. Gordon Ramsey is jealous! This stuff is a joke, so much so my dog has been enjoying it.STUPID VOLES, USELESS PRODUCT!

If you can find the entrance
Well it works best if you can find the entrance to the voles den. It takes a bit longer to work if you cant find the den. Using it in the voles tunnels is second best.

Ineffective
I have a vole problem in my back yard. I put this bait in the multiple vole holes. Went through the whole bag. Didn't kill a vole.I hired a pest control company and trapped a vole the 1st night using a cranberry as bait in a trap.

I HAD a vole problem.
This seemed to take care of the voles and no harm has come to the neighborhood cats.

Did not work for repelling voles
We had a bad infestation of voles burrowing under one side of our yard building, starting about 3 weeks ago; near where some bird feeders hang. Am sure that is what attracted the critters in the first place. We may have waited too long for using repellant. May try poison bait, but getting cold here in Iowa and have not seen any voles now that it gets down into the low 30s some nights. This product had no effect at all with getting rid of the voles.

VoleX Kills Voles, Fast, & Easy to use
After the snow melted with a few days of warm weather with sunshine, I noticed patches of clover missing, and raised trails in our lawn. That evening I saw what I thought was a 4" brown mouse with a round face and a stubby tail. I looked it up and discovered we have Voles. That evening while sitting on our porch, I noticed two more grey voles. After researching how to kill them, I purchased VoleX on Amazon. Once I received my order, I immediately spread the pellets where I saw the voles. The next day I noticed that some of the pellets were missing, and some were chewed in half. The next day I saw only one vole, and I added more pellets. A week later I sealed the rock wall and stomped down on their trails. A week later, no signs of vole activity.I recommend wrapping VoleX pellets in plastic wrap because they are not waterproof and will lose their effectiveness when wet.

Attracts other pest
UPDATE! So you say now...this product might really be killing the voles. With the large scent of this producti couldn't help but notice how it attracted also RACCOONS! Who did more damage to the soil by digging up the places i put into the Vole tunnels! Remember, the scent is very potent...this is now theSECOND time Raccoons have dug up the vole tunnel places again, where i put the Vole bait. I ended up tilling the entire area along our fence line where the Voles travel in their tunnels. This seems to "disrupt" their lives, and they hate it...no activity now where i would find many many tunnels in our back yard. Don't use this product if you have a problem with Raccoons.......it will only attract them .Raccoons are VERY distructive cute animals....they are very smart and will come around when you are not there. VoleX seems to work.. but i can only say this by not seeing new tunneling in my yard.Time will tell dependant on your number of Voles in your yard. It is very dishartening to haveto live your life around some little field mouse type looking Vole. I have tried several products to no availI have hooked up exhaust from my garden tiller to their tunnels to no avail.i have tried flooding them out..only worms and snakes came out.I've smoked them, nothing happened...new tunnels appeared several days later.Voles are reproducing every 22 days! Who will win is an impossability.Have a great time finding what works. And the time you allow to hunt them down.It take s WEEKS to kill them if they eat the bait..so far so good. No new tunnels this week.Maybe this product IS working...it just isn't very noticeable the next day lol.GOOD LUCK Vole hunter....lol
