Tops 55723 Rapid Brew Microwave Coffeemaker, One Cup Size

I had a hard time believing you could make a cup of coffee with this little thing, but it actually works. All you have to do is fill the built in filter with coffee, drop it into a mug filled with water, microwave for a minute or so and then stir the filter around until the coffee is as strong as you want it. It works.Now, to be honest, you can make a pot of coffee with an instant coffee maker in the time it takes to make one cup with the FitzAll. However, when you just need one or when you're somewhere (for example at work) and don't have access to a coffee maker this little beauty does the trick.

If you're going to use this for coffee, you should get a coarse grind which means you have to use more than usual to get a decent brew. I decided to still do pour over coffee. But, these do work great for tea. Once I've used it for tea I stopped using it for coffee so that there's no coffee aroma to mess up my tea. For the price, it's handy to have around.

This thing was an experiment. Even the little bit it cost was a waste of money.The round part that holds the coffee floats on top of the water in the microwave. It refused to stay down in the water while it's soaking. I had to cover it with plastic wrap that was tightened around the edge of the handle to hold it down.Coffee is gritty and cruddy.Took so much swishing and soaking to release flavor into the water, the water lost a lot of heat.The bowl part was difficult to fill. Wasted almost as much coffee as it used. Well, could have wasted. I did it over a clean paper towel and funneled the spilled grounds back into the bag.Bowl is difficult to snap shut with bits of coffee around the edges.The item is difficult to clean. Whole thing ended up brown after first rinse.It is so fragile, I doubt it would last through many uses. As soon as I realized what a mistake it was, I ordered a single-serve Black & Decker coffee maker everybody seems to like.It's a waste of resources to be driving around in a UPS truck to deliver a box with junk like this.

If you're looking for a good cup of coffee out of this buy two of these brewers. When you fill just 1 of these brewers with coffee and place it in your cup the coffee comes out very weak. If you're buying this buy two of them. Place them both in your mug or place them in a microwaveable water pitcher then pour the hot coffee when done. Given the right strength this coffee comes out very delicious. I'm giving it 3 stars because if you buy just 1 brewer its undersized! Double the size of this product!

This item was a replacement for one that I have used happily for years. They use a teaspoon of regular ground coffee, not those expensive plastic packets used by the electric one-cup coffee makers and they are durable. I bought 4 of them 5+ years ago, use one every day and then run it through the dishwasher. I still have 2 of the original 4.

My favorite coffee is French Press style. I like the small grains of coffee that are suspended in the coffee; I think it has a great mouth feel. This one-cup coffee filter allows a little of the smaller grounds to come through, nicely replicating the flavor and feel profile of French Press. If you don't like that then I would recommend using a courser-grind.I totally fill the basket with coffee, put it into my cup filled with cold water, and then microwave it. I determined the amount of time it takes to heat my water to about 200°F. I put it in the microwave for that amount of time and each time it comes out great.

old disabled live a lone like one cup of real coffee a day , hate to make a whole pot,,, man this is great ,first time perfect cup strong like I like and not trouble for me to make , love it going to buy some for Christmas gifs ,thank you for this product ,James
