Don't waste $200 on TrackIR... Buy this.
So far so good. The instructions leave you wondering a bit as they are only 1 page. But with a little can-do attitude and a couple YouTube videos I had it working in under 2 hours. Definitely get OpenTrack ir do not use the program they recommend.Once in game it works amazingly, providing so much more situational awareness to any flight sim. And I saved $140 vs TrackIR. Shipped quickly and came a full month before the expected delivery date. I'm pleased.

Fiddly Setup - Great Results MUST REBOOT AFTER DRIVER INSTALL
MY OWN INSTRUCTIONS BELOW REVIEWI've been using this for a few days now, and finally the curves, camera position, and so forth set up for consistent performance. This headtracker does exactly what it's supposed to, though it does take a bit of consternation to get up and running to full effect. I think you get a -much- greater value for money going DIY, which is essentially what this kit is, especially given the lack of clear instructions or any sort of troubleshooting information. The included instructions are serviceable, but not great.Once I installed the drivers from the url included in the instructions, I saw nothing in the CL Eye Test software, with an error of "No Camera Found." At this stage, you MUST reboot your PC with the camera plugged in, and MUST start CL Eye Test BEFORE starting TrackHat. I tried other available software, but TrackHat is the one included in the instructions, and seems to work with the least fuss. All that said, once you get everything up and running, the result is incredible. The difference between it and mouseview is such that I did not realize that I was struggling in some games until I used this headtracker. I can't emphasize enough how much dimension this adds to any game that supports it.The LED frame is 3d printed, and printed well. It has two slots for velcro straps, though I'd highly recommend also purchasing some adhesive velcro tabs for mounting. Using your own tabs will allow for greater stability, and also allow you to slightly angle the LED frame - which is crucially important for the dots not crossing which will confuse the axes. You'll see what I mean once you start messing with it.As an added bonus, the frame is fantastically light, which matters a lot for something mounting to headphones or a headset.Still, there is no better option for a complete kit for US customers. UTCII and Delanclip, while quite possibly marginally better products, ship from overseas incurring costs and wait time. This kit is available on Prime, which makes a world of difference in convenience.Overall, you cannot beat this quality headtracking for the money spent without going DIY. The product works as advertised, works well, works consistently, and is the least expensive option for US customers. I have no intention of testing durability.SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS:The instructions included will provide a URL for CL Eye Test drivers. Download and install them WITHOUT PLUGGING THE CAMERA IN. If you have plugged the camera in before installing the CL Eye Test software, you can try rebooting, but may have to uninstall the drivers, reboot, install the drivers, reboot, plug in the camera, reboot again, and reboot a final time to be working.Once the drivers are installed, open the newly created shortcut for CL Eye Test. Once you have done so, plug in the camera. If "NO CAMERA FOUND" appears, simply reboot your PC.Every time you reboot, restart, or log in to your PC, you MUST open CL Eye Test BEFORE TrackHat.Next, download and install TrackHat. It's free, and it's friendly with this device. You will then want to mount your camera, where the velcro tabs also come in handy. You'll want to mount your camera using the following criteria:2-4 feet away from the trackerThe dots of the tracker centered in CL-Eye Test or TrackHat with as little angling of the camera as possibleIf you need to angle the camera severely, as I do, then you'll want to rotate the LED frame some for optimal performance. Now you'll want to rotate the lens of the camera until you see three fine, clear, small dots on screen. You'll set the options in TrackHat exactly as the instructions suggest, with some fine tuning of the Threshold levels. TrackHat will display the size of the dots as it sees them, which will help you fine tune the Threshold values. The narrower the range, the better and more consistent the performance.I could not get it working with OpenTrack, but also didn't spend very long trying to get it working with OpenTrack. TrackHat works fine for me, with the least headaches.I'll be happy to answer any other questions on Amazon for this product, and would be MORE than happy to rewrite the instructions page for the vendor.

Buggy! No real instructions for set up
I bought this to use on American truck sim , it works but it's a pain to get it set up to even be usable! And each time I use it even with all the same settings i have to readjust sliders, and even dialed in its buggy and barely usable with ATS .. looking side to side if i look too far it spazes out and have yet to find a good tutorial for setting it up for games it list

Alternative
Works but not as great as Track IR. Takes a few mins to set up.

Can't really beat it for $50
Don't have a 3D printer or want to make your own, or don't trust modding your own PS3 Eye-cam because you don't want to buy the overpriced TrackIR? This is an undoubtedly good alternative. I was nervous about it at first, but it's surprisingly good.Yes it's from China, yes the instructions are in broken English, but it just works so long as you get the PS3 Eye-cam driver and learn how to use Opentrack (not really that different from setting up curves in TrackIR), this is a really good cheaper alternative. Plus, with Prime shipping.

IR receiver cheap and damaged
Product uses a playstation camera and what seems like a homemade 3d printed IR receiver. At first it worked as advertised although it being a little rough and failing to track properly while in game. Owned product for about two months now until very recently the LED IR receiver stopped working. After a short time of owning I determined that this is a nice starting product if youre thinking of getting into games like DCS World or sim battles in War Thunder. But I would highly recommend upgrading to a TrackIR5 if you decide to purchase this product.

Works well once setup
I'm using this with Euro Truck Simulator and it sure is an upgrade from using a joystick or controls on the wheel. I tried using their custom version of the Opentrack software but found it difficult to properly adjust the response curves. The graphs seemed pretty small, possibly their version didn't scale correctly for screen resolution. I ended up using the official Opentrack software from the github and that was much better, easy to find by searching.

Works as intended
If you want an IR head tracker, but like having money, buy this. It takes some time to set up and calibrate, but it works as well as the much more expensive one.
