Scalpmaster Wire Cushion Brush

This wig brush is wonderful for synthetic wigs! The first one I bought still works well but I bought a second one as a back-up in case it's discontinued.

This brush is more for someone with thick hair. I have fine thin hair. It’s a bit painful but it does stimulate the scalp. The pins are very sharp. I would definitely use this with caution. I did have a pin missing. I am not sure I can handle the pain that comes with this. Yes, it’s that bad!UPDATE: My scalp got used to this and it is wonderful!!! Give it a little bit of time and you will love it!!!

I was introduced to this brush in the 90’s, before ‘detangling’ brushes existed(or before I knew about them). To this day, I still use this brush, though I’ve replaced many times over the years. I have long, fine hair that knots easily and this brush does a fantastic job handling that! Additionally, I’ve had a dog and a cat who insist on also being brushed while I brush my hair, and they like the brush too!This brush does last a long time! I tend to replace when I don’t want to pull up the pins anymore, but legitimately, it still works(just lazy as I get older)

Promotes scalp circulation and hair growth. Feels good, and detangles well. I use it until the pegs are bent and worn out (lasts several years) and then I replace with the exact same item. Will buy again and again.

For the price, it’s a pretty good brush that detangles hair decently and offers the added benefit of stimulating the scalp with its wire bristles. However, the wire bristles are not carefully rounded down and are rather sharp, which can cause accidental scratches on the scalp.Overall, it’s a decent brush that delivers good value for money, but I wish the bristles had a more rounded-down edge for a gentler brushing experience. With some improvement in the design of the bristle tips, this brush could be exceptional.

My short-haired cat simply can't get enough. I just pick up this lightweight brush and she goes wild. I was looking to replace a wire-slicker brush that would be rough enough to satisfy yet gentle enough to soothe. Was iffy since there isn't any plastic bead at the tip of each tine - turns out to be better without. Will buy again if this rugged brush ever wears out.

I got this product to try and find a good dupe for that other brand we all know that sales them for $290- but this one is not a good pick. First off, it was painful, couldn’t even finish using it once. Secondly, it came already missing bristles. Lastly, it looks and feels cheap. I know that’s what I paid for with the low price but I’d rather pay a little bit more for better quality.
