Works for me :)
I love this, eyeshadow always ends up with lines and looks awful on my eyes so I thought I would try this primer. Well it's brilliant my eyeshadow last allday and looks as fresh as when I put it on.It's very easy to apply and it feels really light on the eye. I will say though if you have weak hands I don't think you will be able to use it as the tube is tough you need to give it a good squeeze.

Eyeshadow is longer lasting
I usually use too faced eyeshadow insurance as an eyeshadow primer but as it's expensive I decided to try the barry m lid lock. It's is quite thick and creamy and a small amount goes far. It slides on the eyelid easily and keeps my eyeshadow from creasing and as a result is lasts much longer. For the price, it is an excellent alternative to other, much more expensive eye primers. However, on 2 occasions the product I received wouldn't dispense from tube and when I cut the plastic tube open, the primer was hard and clumpy. Obviously the primer shouldn't be like this but the product itself is worth buying.

Middling performance
I used to use urban decay eyeshadow primer, but switched to this as it's cheaper. I can really tell the difference. This product is just about adequate. Sometimes it remains tacky which makes it difficult to apply eyeshadow evenly, sometimes it doesn't blend into my eyelid properly, looking claggy and needs to be removed and reapplied. Everytime I open the tube the uppermost section has become a little dried and I need to squeeze out the top portion into a tissue before I can use it.However, these problems aside, it does keep my eyeshadow in place all day and I would re-order it - unless urban decay reduce their prices!!

Best eyeshadow primer I've used
Best eyeshadow primer I've used.It does have a gritty texture but that seems to absorb quickly. Makes eyeshadow look much brighter and last longer and stops any creasing. Only need a very small amount and allow to dry completely before applying eyeshadow. Also use on my nose and tzone where my skin is more oily and foundation can pool in the pores. This completely stops that too.

Grainy
Okay so I read some reviews of this product and some said it was grainy and some said it was completely fine. So I thought i'd take the gamble because I needed a primer and there wasn't very many options on amazon and stores are still closed. Plus this is one of the cheaper ones and I'd rather roll the dice on £4 than £12.As soon as I opened the parcel I wanted to test it to see if it was smooth as it is supposed to be or if I had received a gritty one and to my disappointment, it was grainy like an exfoliant. Luckily I went to request a refund/return immediately and reported it as defective. I was able to request a replacement item so I thought I'd take another gamble and try that, rather than another primer as there are some good reviews on here. I haven't received the replacement yet but I will edit this comment after I test that out.UPDATE:Utterly Disappointed, the replacement item arrived and arguable worse than the first item I received. There was no seal on either of the items I received, just the lid, so possibly it was out of date as the grittiness in the product looks like clumps that have hardened over time. BarryM need to add some sort of seal to this product or make it last longer as I presume that is what happened but I am still unsure why I have received 2 grainy products in a row and other people are claiming it is fine. I would advise against buying this product (or try and get it in-store) as it is a waste of money in the hope that you get a fabled smooth one.I also wanted to warn people not to use the product if it has bits in it because I got mild irritation after using it on the back of my hand for only a few minutes and the hand I tried it on is significantly drier than the other one (note: I have no known allergies).Hopefully, this helps someone and please if you do end up getting it, write a review to help other people. In the likelihood that it is grainy, please at least leave a 1 star rating or review to help bring the rating down and help get it off the bestseller list because this product is far from something I would want anyone to put on their skin let alone around their eyes.(1st Image is the first product I received and 2nd is the replacement)

EDITED REVIEW
It's a little grainy but that's grand as it literally DOES lock colour onto eyes. It doesn't have a glitter or shine to it which is also great as you can just use it as a base for any type of eyeshadow, or just a little powder.EDIT after using this for over a year and changing to something else, I realize it is in no way meant to be grainy, it was pure inexperience that made me think that is was okay. The product does hold colour onto eyes but not as well as many, many other primers, and not for more than a couple of hours, and, if it's something with a shine or sparkle (not a loose glitter, you need a separate primer for that) then forget about it.Wouldn't recommend it especially with so many other options out there
