Great device for fault finding
It's a reliable product. Does the job if you want to test for shorts or find faults in wiring. I like the fact that it comes with a calibration certificate. I wonder if the company has a way to send the tester in for regular calibration. Remember if you want to do an insulation test at the distribution box you need to disconnect all lights and devices such as fans, ac geysers etc. fan regulators need to be disconnected. All switches need to be on but if the switch has an led indicator the led must be disconnected. As the led indicator is connected between live and neutral it will show a short. Remember this device passes high voltage into the wires any device that is connected that cannot handle 500v and above will be destroyed. If you have flash cieling installed with Leds, you will have to disconnect all led drivers too.
