My wife is scheduled for a total reverse shoulder, but the appointment is 8 weeks away. she has been experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort. I found this on Amazon and bought it for her. It has given her a lot of relief. The material used is superior and the pockets for the ice packs are perfect. The Velcro straps allow her to tighten where she gets support while at the same time the cold therapy needed to reduce the level of pain. For her post surgery treatment we will probably get one of those cold water circulating machines, but I have to say, this could handled what is needed if we were to buy the two additional ice packs offered.

This shoulder wrap is VERY well made. It is easy to put on and remove. It provides HEAT OR COLD relief around my ENTIRE shoulder and stays in place (unlike trying to use a rectangular gel pack).A shout out for the seller—I ordered a size Large because I had read a couple of reviews saying that the shoulder wrap ran small. When I received my size Large, the tightening strap went part way around my back because it was simply too big for me. Also, the top of the shoulder portion rippled because there was so much more space in that area than my shoulder could fill. I reached out to the seller through Amazon to ask for a replacement Small/Medium. They quickly sent me the replacement cloth portion, along with a pre-paid shipping label to return the size Large. In two days, I had that replacement! Their customer service matches the quality of their product. Highly recommend!

I own an active wrap for my lower back and have used it for years. I just bought this shoulder wrap after separating my shoulder. It’s a great shoulder wrap. Fits me perfectly and has 2 pockets to hold the gel packs which can be hot or cold. Quality construction , not like some of those cheap ones you find at drug stores. Comes with 2 gel packs.

It works, but when I first started to use it it was hard it figure it out. But once I got it, it worked good.

I torn both rotator cuffs and trying to ice the side of your arm and the top of your shoulder is very hard.This wrap comes in different sizes so be aware of that when you order it. I am a very little person so thesmall works well. The medium was just way to big. Both straps are adjustable. Some people complainabout the coldness but if you read the directions on the ice pack you are not suppose to put them in thewrap right away. You have to leave them out for 15 minutes then put them in. Or you can just do what Ido and that is to put a wash rag inside the wrap so the cold doesn't make you too cold. Really works wellif used properly. I have to adjust the straps to fit around my small arm but that is pretty easy to do as well.With torn rotar cuffs and frozen shoulder which I have in one arm this may seem impossible to do. But believe meyou can't pick up a big 12 x 18 ice pack because it weights to much when you have frozen shoulder. This wrapyou attach after you load the small ice packs in and then you just slide it over your arm and shoulder and pull thestrap and velcro it down. I would recommend this to any one with these type of injuries. Also works well on yourlower calfs which I injured as well. No packs falling off. Great.

Expensive, but if you are in the midst of a problematic shoulder issue and can afford it, don't hesitate. It is really difficult to keep hot or cold packs on a shoulder, and this does it. Wonderfully. I put it on and can go about doing whatever it is I want to do. You don't have to sit still and hope it doesn't fall off. I broke down and also purchased two additional packs. They way the product is sold, with the two packs, you can do cold, then heat up the packs and do hot, but you can't go back to cold right away. It is the cold-hot-cold that helps with the blood flow, therefore the benefit of a second set of the gel pack inserts. You won't be able to use this device if you are in an immobilizer. But if you are in a situation where you will be immobilized, you will have an extended rehab to regain strength and function and being able to apply thermal modalities like this is extremely beneficial. [I'm having my second surgery in two weeks. I think I am going to see if I can manage this thing on top of an immobilizer-without violating movement constraints. It won't strap on, but it might just stay "on top" and therefore help with pain control.]

When you put the ice packs inside it, they ice packs pull the wrap towards the arm, if I try to pull the strap up to the shoulder, the end hit my neck since it's not countour in the neck area. Not only this but once I pull it up it goes back down and the ice packs sags all the way down, cooling your arms instead of your shoulder.I had a different brand shoulder wrap in the past that did not have these issues. The ice packs stay in liquid form after being in the freezer for months and once out the freezer they turn warm withing a few minutes.
