This was a gift and my son loves it. Easy to use with short lessons, natural accent and great instructions.

I am traveling to Germany next year and I am using this to get back much of the German I used t have and be able to function in the country.

I thought I would be speaking or understanding more by now.

I used the digital code Amazon gave me, did the first lesson and now it wants us to buy a subscription even though I paid for a 12 month course. Contacted Babbel and they said since bought on Amazon they can't tell if this was paid for and to contact amazon direct. I come to Amazon and there is no return allowed because it's digital and no one to talk to, to get help.

I love Babbel. It’s an easy to use app and relevant lessons. I think the lessons are good for a variety of learning styles. The podcasts are good to listen to, but I wish there were more Spanish songs podcasts for beginners.

During this pandemic I have taking the time to refresh my Spanish. This program is so helpful and easy to use. I also love that I can use it while on the go!

My husband and I both tried this software to prepare for our move to Puerto Rico - he’s never learned Spanish and I took 3 years waaaaay back in high school. I’m pretty good at picking up the language when we are on island and he knows some words and key phrases.Babel has a multi-faceted learning methodology (hear, read, speak), but neither one of us found it effective. We each did 2 lessons a day, did the review at the end of each module set, spoke Spanish daily to each other, and 12 months later we are at the same level of competency as when we started. 😫I cannot compare to other language apps, but I’d recommend trying something else (or wait for a REALLY good Babel sale) before investing in Babel. Very disappointed in the results.

I think this is a good program for beginners, if you are past beginner it is not worth it. It is a simple program that teaches basic concepts and words in context. It teaches you grammar but without telling you that it is teaching you grammar. It won't make you fluent but it will get you started in a language. When I start a new language, I usually just pick up a really easy book but the next time in a few years when I decide to start a new language again, I'll just use Babbel. Why? It teaches everything in an easy book but it is a little more fun and it has instantaneous audio. It was easy to stay consistent with the lessons. This would be a good program to accompany a first Spanish class or something but if you have already taken a Spanish class, you should probably do something harder. I was kind of in the middle, I already knew a lot of Russian words but was still struggling a lot. This helped me put things together in my head but was maybe just a little too easy but that is why I say it is a great program for beginners.
