1720C15 Check Valve Swing 1.5" Slip True Union

I needed a new check valve, and when I saw this one, I liked the idea of being able to see it working, or not. It fit perfectly, and would buy again, if needed. Good quality construction.

The whole point of this product is to prevent reverse flow. It didn't work with just one side connected. After I hooked up the 1-1/2" plumbing on the other side, it held pressure fine.

Spend couple more dollars and get a better quality one. This one leaked from the get-go. Washers very cheap. Flop inside of it to prevent water from going the opposite direction never worked as intended. Already glued the coupling otherwise I would have returned it. Disappointing :-(

Quality and works great. Unions are great with good rubber as well.

Used this valve in horizontal position going into pump which then goes to filter and then to roof-top solar water heater 20' straight up from the filter. When the pump shuts off, the flapper starts to oscillate (close and open) creating a loud thumping sound that can be heard inside the house. Our previous flow control valve did not have this issue. Switching from flapper to spring check valve in hopes of alleviating this issue.
