Palm Springs Gas Outdoor 14kw Hammered Steel Patio Heater

My husband and I live in Spain so we wanted a heater for the winter months so we can sit outside in the evening. Arrived boxed up which needs a bit of assembly but once we built it up and turned it on we were toasty. It has a huge top part which reflects the heat down brilliantly. The hammered steel on the pole and the base are ideal as that will not rust or get finger marks which stainless steel does. The cover for the gas bottle is brillian and sturdy It comes with 2 wheels on the bottom so great if you want to relocate it. We have had other patio heaters in the past which have not been much cheaper than this one but none of them compare to this one. My husbands mum is off home now to order one after she felt how warm it was. Don't hesitate it is quality and value for money. Just watch your height as it is very tall make sure where you are putting it is quite high. Happy buying !

Very good value. Like some others I had real problems lighting it until I realised I wasn't moving the control knob to the correct position to light the pilot. It says press lightly and move knob to pilot position. I lined the white bar on the control knob with the centre of the 'pilot' sign which is about 10 o'clock. Nothing happened. The correct position is about 9 o'clock well past the pilot sign. I Held it down, pressed the ignite button and bingo, works first time. The other thing I wasn't aware of was the gas regulator. This wont work with blue Calor Gas canisters (which I had one of) - it only works with the Green Patio Gas canisters. £70 quid for the deposit and patio gas later and all is working well. Had a party last night with some smokers banished to the patio who told me it belted out loads of heat so worth all the effort in the end. Putting it together was a doddle - the hardest and most time consuming part was taking off the protective cover on the reflectors. It comes with a nice hood to protect the burner when not in use.

Great patio heater. Works very well, although i have struggled to light on a couple of occasions in line with other people. I now move into position 10 minutes before trying to light in case the auto cutoff is stopping it lighting. I have used well into the evening in October, and kept perfectly warm.The item is tall, and is slightly hard to move about on slate chippings, as the wheels dont like this! I guess a solid patio would be easier for movement.I bought a cover to try and stop it being open to the elements. It will be interesting to see how well it over-winters.Lost a star due to the lighting difficulties, but overall, I would recommend to all!As with most people I rely upon reviews and seller feedback when making purchases online and therefore every review I write is fair and accurate. I bought this to use in an open wooden shack which I had built at the end of the garden. When lit, it produced enough heat to keep you warm in the evening (this is spring/summer time, IO have not tried it in winter yet). Shack is fairly exposed, and the breeze does not affect the fire. My only complaint (minor so I did not deduct points) is that I have not as yet seen the pilot light when starting the heater (I am supposed to spot it when it is lit, according to instruction, I have as yet to find were it is!), which means I keep igniting it, then when I turn it on to check if it is on, I discover it has already lit (some may find this very annoying). So probably I'll wear out the ignition sooner than I should! Takes few minutes to heat out, then very stable and OK. The heat reflector on the top is effective, and there is not much heat going up, so as long as the ceiling is a meter or more above the heater, it does not even warm up, I was initially worried about the safety using under wooden/brushwood roof but now feel better (but it has to be quite high, mine is nearly 3 meters high). Gas consumption as expected for a high output heat.

Perfect and works well and great price will recommend to anyone 👍🏾 to buy easy to install also.

Only slightly out of warranty, kept in shelter with a patio heater cover. Lo and behold when we got it out the base weld had corroded to the point it was swaying and ultimately wasn’t attached.Seller offered no refund, replacement or compensation.Super unsafe… imagine if we got the lit for it to suddenly come loose.

Blew over easily in the wind and top snapped off. Having to have it repaired and reinforced. Too canopy if not very wide so heat is not directed down. Ok for price.

I read all the reviews and it seems a few people had had some issues but most felt it was a good quality product.... so I went for it.No problems with delivery, except that I was away the first 2 times they attempted but 3rd time lucky (I appreciate the courier's perseverance!) So far I am delighted. I read it would take 2 hours to put together. I'm no expert but it took me under an hour. I was really happy with the build quality. It looks great out on the decking and after I realised that you need to move the stiff little pilot light view-hole disc to know whether it has lit or not, I found that it lights first time.It really does give off a lot of heat and it is a big, tall beast so make sure you are happy having it as a "feature" of the garden as it isn't easy to hide.Top marks from me. Let's hope the quality shines through.
