Wouldn't work at first
I tried multiple times to get this thing to work and it just wouldn't. Tried full reset and it still didn't work. I got the blue light to rapid flash, then confirmed the WiFi setting and clicked on connect. Smart Life said Device found but eventually said "Device not responding".Eventually got it to work as found my router was set to 802.11n only, so after setting it to 802.11b/g/n it worked.Wired in parallel with the light switch so that I can turn on/off the lights without the APP. Getting it to work with Alexa was simple. The Smart switch itself was too big to fit inside the light fitting, so had to make the hole in the ceiling larger and then it could be pushed up inside the void.

Good alternative to Sonoff Basic
Used this to replace a few Sonoff Basic switches. Replaced WiFi router and could not get Sonoff switches to connect to new router...tip this can be done I think but there is a specific way to delete the switches in the app before adding them to a new router, unfortunately I didn't and I'm now stuck with old Sonoff switches that refuse to connect to anything!Anyway, thought I would try these. Easy to set up, app is good. Size comparison with Sonoff... Basically the same, a bit more square perhaps and a tad bigger. Comes with easy connectors which is a big plus!

They are great, but will need fitting in your ceiling space, not in your light fittings 😊
I bought 4 for use with my main lights, hallway, landing, bedrooms.Great value for money, out of sight, no need to amend your decor. You can still use your switch (note: you may have to use the app to reactivate it the Wi-Fi, just switch the light on in the app, your all set again).Works well with Alexa, connects via the Smarlife app.If you are not confident with electrics, plz plz plz get a professional in.These are about the size of a fist, they will need to be fitted above the light fitting, either in the attic or under floor boards, they are too big to fit in a standard light fitting. (they will fit in my fan light as there is more room).I recommend you connect your switches after each one is fitted. Makes naming them easier.I have Dual WiFi so I find it easier to connect via AP mode instead of EZ mode in smart life app. (I have a few items lol)All you need to do:• Open your smart life app• Click the + (top right)• Add switch Wi-Fi• Enter Your Wi-Fi name & password, click next• At the top of the next page tap the EZ Mode and change to AP.• Then on your new switch, hold the button until it blinks fast, then hold the button again until it blinks slowly.• Then Confirm it’s blinking slowly, click next. (back in the app)• click "Select go to Wi-Fi" settings• Connect to Smart life in your Wi-Fi settings. (It will connect to smart life without any Internet)• Go back to smart life app and it will connect the light for you.• Rename it, select your room / group (if you want to)• Your all done. It is only one more step than the EZ mode, but so much quicker.

Not that impressed!
OK, it's AC, but black for live and red for neutral? The quick connectors are way too big for the tails provided on the switch and don't even partially grip the wire, but not such a big deal as you can connect directly into the screw terminals on the circuit board. If you don't wan't to do that, you'll need a chocolate block instead for a safe and positive connection.

Good. But only uses 2.4ghz from the router.
The media could not be loaded. If you're reading this because your device won't connect. Please ensure you only have 2.4ghz selected on your router. To do this. You have to go into your router login page via a browser and temporarily disable 5ghz. Add your device. Then restore use of the 5ghz.It's a pain in the butt. However. Once you're in. It's a few seconds for setup.Once you've set these up, they work flawlessly.Takes a further half a minute or so to add to Google home. The device itself is a bit clunky. But they stuff into light ceiling roses, or into the ceiling with ease.

Tested and recommended for use with Smart Life app
As per the Amazon description these relays are compatible with the Smart Life app which means you can control all your lights/devices from one central app. Using them with Joso WiFi Smart Touch Light Switches (Amazon ASIN B078BGMHKP). Unlike Sonoff devices (that only work with their own eWeLink app) these relays do not talk back to a mystery external server and as such response times are relatively fast.

Great unit and easy to wire due to push plugs
The unit was easy to wire up due to the included push plugs. The only issue is that the unit is quite a bit bulky so does not fit inside more light fittings easily. The first time I installed it, the unit hit the ceiling and depressed the reset button. I had to cut a longer wire and make a hole in the ceiling to tuck it away so that it does not get pressed when the light fitting is re-attached.I had to use this on the ceiling rose since my property does not have a neutral wire at the switch box and i did not want to go to the effort/expense of having a neutral drawn down there.so far it works fine - however there is quite a lag between giving alexa the command and having the light come on. i have yet to experiment with turning my router off (at the input) and seeing if the local LAN continues to work or if I'm stuck in darkness since i no longer have a manual switch.

Works Perfectly - Easy solution, saved a fortune
I purchased this to control a positive input fan in the attic. The cost of an electrician to provide wiring to a switch would have easily been over £100. This item took 10 minutes to fit, connected immediately to the app and allows me to switch the fan on and off by my phone, and Alexa, as well as set runs (e.g. attic fan to run midnight to 6am). One of the best spend to value ratios of any item I have purchased. Highly recommended.
