I bought these for an interior application, so I didn't really need the silicone waterproof seal that comes on these. I needed to cut the strand into several sections and connect them with standard solder less connectors that I also bought, but it turned out that trying to remove enough of the silicone on the ends to get the connector on ended up compromising the connections. Ultimately I didn't like the flimisness that resulted and so I threw the whole set away and ordered an indoor-specific set. I'm sure if you're not wanting to shorten these at all, it would probably work fine. Didn't work well enough for what I wanted it for though.

I love the results and quality of this product. I used to line an amp rack for my car (pictures to come). The remote control color option is excellent for the model I chose and I do recommend color if your application calls for it. Only problem is that the plug that connects from the power source to the LED strip with a 4 pin plug can easily be reversed. I worry that it could short out the LEDs although it hasn't happened and only the lights don't turn on, but any labeling is not clear as to which end is which (I think there's a small black mark on one side of the plug, but is that the + or - end? IDK? Besides that, it produces amazing results and you should not hesitate to purchase this product. Wow, did I just sound like a sales person... its an excellent product really.

I initially ordered this product for my college dorm room, but found out it was against the regulations so I decided to put it in my room instead. Strangely, it didn’t come with instructions, so I had to figure it out myself (thankfully it wasn’t difficult). I was so pleased with it last night when I set it up- the lights were very bright and illuminated the whole room, but today when I tried to turn it on, it didn’t do anything. I changed out the remote battery, tried a different outlet, checked the connection, nothing. I’m super disappointed because I thought it was such a steal for the price but if it doesn’t even work properly for 24 hours... maybe it’s just a dud? (also- do not put this product on painted walls! It tore the paint off mine, the sticky part is no joke)

Using this on the cockpit. Placed it behind an overhang,so you can't see them directly, but they make great accent light. Many color chaises. I wired it to an existing light and no problems so far. I may purchase more to replace other single color, as I like the blue shades these makes better and brighter than other lights I had.

Makes for a great nightlight for an 11 year old. Simple enough they can figure out how to use it, change colors, brightness, strobe, color changing demo, etc. Peel as you stick versus peeling all the paper and then sticking or you’ll risk the light twirling and sticking to itself or something else you didn’t want it stuck to.

I got it for my college room. When I test it for first time (not tape it on yet) it was working with the light turn on really well. Then I removed the tapes and hang it on. It NOT WORKING anymore though I try many ways to turn it on as change the electronic socket, change the battery in remote, unplugged and plugged again but still not working. It not worth to buy. I need to refund for it. Not recommended this led light

Installed just 1 of these on the bottom of the cover rails with a lighter plug and cord on the pontoon boat turning it into a great party boat.

A few days ago the colors no longer change per the remote. I push blue and I get green, etc. A month or two ago it started turning on, off and changing colors by itself. Would not recommend, longevity is poor.
