I ignored the negative reviews and bought it to add a button at the bottom of my dress shirts since I have a long torso and I am happy I did. Overall they are easy to apply with the tool and, if done right, hold well and easily snap on and off.The instructions are useless. Although it's pretty logical how to do it. One thing that is very important is when inserting the female button in the tool, have the portion that extends out a little visible on the surface. If not, then it will not hold. The instructions do no show this well and both sides almost look the same.

The media could not be loaded. It does what I needed it to do. Wasn't easy to use for me as a beginner. I had to watch the suggested videos on amazon like a dozen times. Once I got the hang of it, it was a breeze and I'm happy that didn't take me too long. I didn't count the pieces but I have more than enough. I like the colors. Snaps go on easy to the material for the baby clothes project I was working on. Once the snaps are on, they snap quite easily. I love the variety of colors. Came nicely packed but of course they get thrown all into each other eventually. A lot of the snaps bent when I was learning but that's probably user error 😂 so I can't complain. Overall it was a good purchase and it got the job done for me.As a bonus shipping was fast and the package was not damaged so I am happy with the seller and the price was amazing for the quality. PROS: This set has quite a few button/snaps. The snaps appear to all be the same size. The color backing for some of the snaps is a nice feature. The set included the crimping tool, and a punch tool. I was able to apply quite a bit of pressure on the crimping tool with no problems. I could see how the punch tool would be nice to make sure the Snaps are firmly applied. The snaps are not commercial grade but worked fine for my work out pants. I couldn’t imagine using them for thick material like jeans but who knows maybe you could.CONS: Crimping tool had lousy directions/pictures. Make sure you get youtube certified before attempting to put snaps on your project. Practice on a scrap of material so you know exactly how you are going to put the snaps. I tried to cowboy it and apply a snap without planning, using the scrap of material included or watching a YouTube video.. It wasn’t pretty but I got my project done. Thank goodness I didn’t buy the set with only a few snaps. I went through a few to get the hang of it. I was also having a problem getting the parts to stay in the tool, they kept falling out.

I use this for my snaps on the baby bibs I make. It was a little hard for me top understand the instructions, but I just looked up a video on how to use them and they have been a piece of cake since then! You have to put a little bit of pressure of course to get the snaps on, but the rubber handles help so my hands dont hurt if I do a lot of snaps. I like that they are metal and very durable! Overall it was a great purchase and much cheaper than if you bought them at joanns!

This is just pure junk! The snaps do not stay in a single layer of light cotton fabric. Every time I got one to stay in on side of fabric when I snapped them together then tried to separate the two parts of the snap, one or both came right out of the fabric. Not one single one worked.

Instructions were terrible. Device hand needed to be a little longer to get full compression of jagged clips. I would pay a little bit more money for something more substantial.

Needed to repair a clasp on some leather products and theses worked better then what was originally installed.

I was looking for a more elegant solution than safety pins to keeping those pesky button up shirts from opening near the boob area and showing everyone the color of your bra. This works perfectly and is easy to use. So far I haven't had any issues with the snaps failing or popping off, they seem like they're gonna stay in place perfectly fine. If you're tired of safety pinning your shirts, try this instead.
