Beck/Arnley Pcv Valve - 045-0351

So after a month of this installed, I feel I can wright a good review. I installed this in my 2008 2.5 Subaru Legacy. All you will need to do is unplug two of the spark plug wires from the ignition coil (not hard at all). Then with a 19mm or 3/4" DEEP socket, with a 6" or more extender you will be able to remove it. Just to let you know, it is very tight and I had to use a breaker bar to remove it. The reviews are true that say the new one has a slightly smaller inlet so the tube will fit a little loose, but all i had to do was push it on harder and it fit fine after that. Took 20 mins. Can't say how well this is working with only it installed because I also installed new NGK spark plugs and wires along with it. I am getting about 2-2.5 MPG better now with everything installed. And a much better throttle response.

Car idol had a little stutter. The hose from the PCV valve had oil in it. That is how I knew my PCV was failing. After replacing with new one, my issue was resolved. Make sure to either replace hoses or clean old ones. I also took the throttle body air box thingy off and cleaned it.

It fit in a 2003 Subaru Outback perfectly fine after the old was managed to be removed. You can't blame the part for Subaru making it hard to get to. . . .

This is not identical to the part that came out of our 2011 Impreza. The hose barb is too small. I was able to make it work in a pinch by beefing it up with a few wraps of electrical tape, but I will be replacing it with a proper part soon. I have verified Standard Motor Products V497 is physically identical to the OEM valve.Disappointed in Beck Arnley. I use them for a lot of seals, but this just isn't the right part.

Fit perfectly in my 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i. If you are loosing oil but have no signs of a leak the PCV valve is a likely cause. Changing this part took my oil loss from a quart per 1000 miles to no visible loss between oil changes.

Works on my 2008 Impreza, but the top valve size for the hose fitting is no the same as OEM just an an FYI to others. I will probably be getting an OEM one next 30k change along with OEM by-pass hose since the old one cracked after removal with 166k on the car. I also had to get an aftermarket rubber flex hose to fit the fitting.

Direct replacement for2006 Subaru outback 2.5I. Works as it should.
